Trollhunters Season 3 Announced by Netflix

Trollhunters Season 3 is a go!

Netflix and Dreamworks Animation announced its docket for new shows to be released in 2018, and a third season of the animated adventure series from Guillermo del Toro and Rodrigo Blaas is on the list. The announcement comes ahead of the Trollhunters Season 2 release, which is happening on Friday, December 15th.

We loved Trollhunters Season 2 as much as the first season, which is not much of a surprise given that del Toro and Blaas mapped out the story structure of the first 52 episodes of this season before even beginning production. Season 2 adds Mark Hamill, Lena Headey, and David Bradley to this all-star cast that already included the late Anton Yelchin and Kelsey Grammer. We can only guess who might join the voice cast in Season 3.

Trollhunters Season 3 Release Date

In additition to Trollhunters Part 3, Dreamworks Animation and Netflix also confirmed that they will be releasing another story in the Trollhunters universe in 2018. 3 Below is the second installment of the Tale of Arcadia Trilogy, which is apparently what we’re calling this shared fictional universe. It will premiere in late 2018 and feature two royal teenage aliens and their bodyguard who flee a surprise takeover of their home planet by an evil dictator and crash land in Arcadia.
