UNVEX 2020 will reunite in Santiago the greatest experts in the drone sector
Madrid, October 14 – UNVEX (Unmanned Vehicle Exhibition), the largest and most prestigious event on unmanned systems, will hold its sixth European edition at the Ciudade da Cultura in Santiago de Compostela from 16 to 18 June 2020.
The Galician choice is due to the ambitious project being developed by the Xunta through the Civil UAVs Initiative that managed by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN), aims to create and enhance the industry of UAVs or drones in Galicia, promoting their application in public services, a market segment with enormous potential.
As in previous editions, UNVEX will have a complete cycle of conferences with speakers at the highest national and international level. On this occasion, it will focus on the applications of UAVs or drones available for public services in areas such as environmental protection, health, security, defence or emergencies, but without losing sight of their commercial uses in agriculture, fishing, infrastructure inspection, audiovisual or transport, among others. The programme will include aspects as important for the development of this market as legislation, the insertion of drones in the airspace or the Counter UAS systems so current.
The conferences will be completed with an exhibition area and a day of demonstrations. At the exhibition, companies, both designers and manufacturers and service providers, will present their innovations to users, buyers and investors, as well as professionals interested in the technological development of these systems. Within the exhibition there will be an area conditioned for the demonstration of small drones.
To see the largest UAVs live, the organization is preparing a day of demonstrations at the Galician Aerospace Pole, in Rozas, province of Lugo. The Civil UAVs Initiative is a pioneering strategic initiative in Europe that, promoted by the Xunta de Galicia around the Aerospace Pole of Galicia, aims to attract investment in the aerospace sector and develop the industry of systems and unmanned vehicles aimed at improving the provision of public services in the civil field.
