Stranger Things Is Coming To Universal Studios This Halloween
Orlando, Hollywood, and Singapore are about to enter the Upside Down.
Universal Studios announced today that Netflix’s Stranger Things will be coming to the amusement park’s annual, massive Halloween celebration: Halloween Horror Nights this fall.
Halloween Horror Nights is a collection of mazes, haunted houses, and exhibits that come to Universal Studios four locations in September and then last through Halloween. Unlike traditional haunted houses and mazes, however, Hollywood Horror Nights carries with it the full oomph of some serious horror IPs. Previously visitors have been able to try out The Shining maze or try to survive the twisted world of American Horror Story: Roanoake. Now it is Stranger Things‘ turn to scare tourists.
According to Universal’s press release, this Stranger Things partnership won’t just involve putting a bored teen employee in a Demogorgon costume and calling it a day. The show’s presence in the Hollywood, Orlando, and Singapore parks will be impressively immersive:
You’ll faithfully follow the storyline, starting off on Mirkwood and then quickly moving to inside Hawkins National Laboratory where things have gone terribly, terribly wrong.
From there you will experience all the most memorable moments and environments from the show while being hunted at every turn by the Demogorgon.
And of course, you’ll step into the mysterious darkness of the Upside Down more than once – whether you like it or not.
Universal has partnered with Stranger Things creators, Matt and Ross Duffer and producer Shawn Levy to make the experience more authentic, making this a very feast or famine news day for the brothers.
Stranger Things at Halloween Horror Nights runs begins September 14 at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort and September 28 at Universal Studios Singapore.
