Garmin Instinct Tactical Edition lets you go full stealth mode
Garmin has announced a new version of its Instinct outdoor watch and it’s calling it the Instinct Tactical Edition.
While retaining many of the features from the first Instinct, Garmin has now added a new all-black look and brings a bunch of upgrades to help you out on your adventures.

If you’re concerned about going undetected in your outdoor pursuits, Garmin has also added a stealth mode. When activated, it prevents all storage and sharing of your GPS position and disables wireless communications, while still letting you see your own current location.
If you’re an avid skydiver or parachutist, the Jumpmaster mode that features on Garmin’s Fenix watches also makes the cut letting you see two sets of coordinate systems at once on the same screen.
On top of these additions, the watch will still offer the same core features and sensors as the first Instinct. That includes a heart rate monitor, 24/7 activity tracking and smartwatch features like the ability to view phone notifications.
On the durability front, the Instinct Tactical Edition is water resistant to 100 metres and features a scratch-resistant display, which Garmin says is built to military toughness standards.
The Instinct Tactical Edition matches the normal Instinct for battery life offering up to 14 days in smartwatch mode, up to 16 hours in GPS mode and 40 hours in UltraTrac mode.
The new Instinct is priced at £319.99, which is around £50 more than the standard Instinct. If you like the look of it, you can splash your cash on it right now on Garmin’s website.
