New Keynotes, Sessions & STEM Program and Announced for the Energy Drone & Robotics Summit Next Week
The Energy Drone & Robotics Summit, taking place June 12-13 (with additional workshops June 10 – 11) at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott in Texas, has updated their agenda to include additional programming and exciting announcements.
The Summit is excited to announce the keynote session for the release and rollout of API’s Guide to Developing an Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program. This is a new guide specifically tailored to the use of drones in the energy industry and provides insight on best practices and critical thinking for asset owners and operators in adopting and running unmanned aircraft programs. The presentation will take place on Thursday, June 13 during a keynote given by API Manager, Suzanne Lemieux.
Also recently added to the agenda, Sudhir Pai, Managing Director of Schlumberger, will be discussing how technology has changed the landscape of the energy industry in his Thursday keynote, Autonomous Systems and Robotics Technology – Demonstrating Value to the Energy Industry: Challenging our Normal. Pai will provide a deeper insight on the evolving oil industry and how this technology is being used to produce greater ROI.
Once again, the EDRS is proud to host several middle and high school STEM / Robotics and UAV student groups to experience and learn about unmanned systems and their role within the energy industry. Tech Talk updates from Shell, Duke Energy, BP and other major energy operators / technology providers are on the schedule. STEM provides funding to help encourage, inspire and educate young innovators within the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
“It’s exciting that less than a week leading up to the event, we are continuing to gain momentum. The API Guide will be an exciting announcement that solidifies unmanned systems and robotics as vital technologies within energy and engineering operations,” said Sean Guerre, Director, Energy Drone & Robotics Coalition, powered by InnovateEnergy. “We are also thrilled to connect our community and future innovators with the education and tools for adopting these technologies and programs.”
In one week, the Summit will feature 100+ energy UAV / robotics speakers from around the globe as they share their expertise and experiences during keynotes, mega panels, breakout session streams and roundtables, as well as learning lab presentations on the expanded expo floor.
Attendees include over 1,000 energy and engineering leaders in drones & robotics from companies including AES, Ameren, Anadarko, BASF, BP, Cheniere Energy, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Dow, Duke, Energy Transfer, Eni, ExxonMobil, Florida Power & Light Company, Hess Oil, NextEra, Shell, Southern Company, Williams Energy, Xcel Energy and many more.
