You Season 2 Moves to Netflix
You, the Lifetime adaptation of Caroline Kepnes’ bestselling book about a young man named Joe who starts stalking and manipulating the woman of his dreams into falling in love with him, is moving to Netflix for its second season.
According to TVLine, though the Lifetime network originally renewed the series for a second season ahead of its season one premiere, it had chosen not to air a second season, as the ratings for the first were so poor.

“Lifetime had an incredible experience working with Greg Bertlanti, Sera Gamble and the entire team on You for Season 1,” the network said in a statement. “We wish the cast and crew the best as the series continues on at Netflix and can’t wait for the opportunity to work with the creative team again.”
Hopefully, the collaboration from Greg Berlanti and The Magicians’ Sera Gamble will find a broader audience on the streaming service giant. The show is a brilliant subversion of the “Nice Guy” trope with a charismatic cast that included Penn Badgley, Elizabeth Lail, and Shay Mitchell. It’s unlike anything else on TV right now.
You Season 2 will pick up following the horrific events of the Season 1 finale, with Joe moving to Los Angeles from New York City to terrorize a new city with his machinations. The second season will be based on Kepnes’ second book in the series: Hidden Bodies. The writing staff has already begun breaking stories for the new season.
