Wolfwalkers
Released December 11, Wolfwalkers is a new animated film that pits humans against a spiritually inclined pack of wolves. Robyn (voiced by Honor Kneafsey), the protagonist, journeys to Ireland with her father to wipe out a band of wolves. In the Wolfwalkers mythos, wolves are demonic and cursed creatures that must be destroyed. But when Robyn saves a native girl named Mebh (Eva Whittaker), Mebh introduces Robyn to the Wolfwalkers, a tribe of humans that transform into wolves under nightfall.
Stillwater
Stillwater is a new six-part animated series that teams three wonderous kids — Karl, Addy, and Michael — with their larger-than-life next-door neighbor, Stillwater the panda bear. Through their black-and-white buddy’s various stories and antics, the three kids learn how to grapple with their own life challenges, such as visiting a barber for your first hair cut or feeling sad when something doesn’t go the way you planned. Heartwarming and filled with laughs, Stillwater joins the ranks of other great children’s programming like Doug Unplugs on Apple TV+.
Earth at Night in Color
Narrated by Tom Hiddleston, Earth at Night in Color uses cutting-edge camera tech to shed new light on the nocturnal habits of various animals across the world. Shot over six different continents, from Kenya to the forests of Europe, cheetahs, bears, and birds of prey have never looked the same. Witness conflicts like a brown bear’s struggle with a pack of territorial wolves, or one jaguar’s mission to protect his midnight jungle from ravenous predators.

There he meets Emma (Kyrie McAlpin), a like-minded curiosity pal (a human girl) who joins Doug on his journey of discovery. Endearing, lesson-filled, and lovingly voice-acted, Doug Unplugs is a more than worthy addition to your family’s lineup of kid-friendly content.

Looking ahead for Apple TV+
Apple TV+ isn’t quite as competitive as some of the other streaming services. That isn’t a huge deal, namely because it is significantly cheaper — especially now that Apple One has hit. However, the service does have some exciting stuff coming later this year and early in 2021.
Apple Original Films and singer-songwriter Billie Eilish are releasing a documentary in February 2021 called Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry. Foundation — based on the series of books by Isaac Asimov — is dropping early next year, along with the tear-jerking Justin Timberlake drama Palmer, about a man struggling to turn his life around while burdened with taking care of an outcast little boy (January 29).
