What’s new on Netflix, and what’s leaving in September 2020

Netflix is adding plenty of new streaming options this month for subscribers. From award-winning original series to popular movies, Netflix has a long list of films and TV shows joining its lineup. Read on for highlights from September’s new arrivals on Netflix, as well as complete lists of what’s coming to the streaming service and what’s leaving.

September brings several noteworthy Netflix Original movies and shows to the streamer, including the premiere of karaoke competition series Sing On!, space drama Away, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest prequel series Ratched. Also arriving on Netflix in September are all three installments of the Back to the Future trilogy and the critically acclaimed fourth (and final) season of The Good Place.

What’s new on Netflix, and what’s leaving in September 2020

The inimitable Tituss Burgess — best known for his memorable role in The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt — hosts this new competition series that pits karaoke crooners against each other. Each week’s contest is judged by a computer that determines the champion, and the prize grows with each episode.

Ratched

American Horror Story actress Sarah Paulson reunites with showrunner Ryan Murphy for this series that follows the titular antagonist of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest in the time before the events of that 1975 film. Paulson plays the title role in this arguably unnecessary, but beautiful-looking show.
