A Discovery of Witches Season 1

A young professor working at Yale in the science division, Diana Bishop, has spent many years resisting the family heritage that tells her that she’s a witch. While avoiding magic and talking to other witches, she is interested in learning more about other subjects but one day runs into a long-lost book in a library. Once Diana opens this book, she feels a magical reaction that gets her to come to touch with her witch heritage whilst unknowingly attracting evil creatures that have been searching for the book. After this, Diana starts to become part of the Witch community so she can protect the book from evil.
