Are you ready for a TV show’s worth of martial arts drama? Netflix has ordered a martial arts crime drama TV series starring Iko Uwais (The Raid, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) called Wu Assassins. According to Deadline, the series has received a 10-episode order from the streaming giant.

Wu Assassins will be written by John Wirth (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles; Falling Skies) who is also acting as showrunner on the series. The first two episodes will be directed by Steven Fung, with Tony Krantz (24) expected to direct another. Production expected to start on August 8th. The Expanse‘s Byron Mann will also star in the series.

Here’s the synopsis from Deadline:

Set in San Francisco’s Chinatown, [Wu Assassins] is a martial arts crime series with supernatural elements. It stars Uwais as Kai Jin, who becomes the latest and last Wu Assassin, chosen to round up the powers of an ancient triad and restore balance once again. Mann plays Uncle Six.

In addition to starring in Wu Assassins, Uwais will also serve as producer, lead martial arts and fight choreographer, and stunt coordinator. (And what have you done with your day?) Uwais is currently in post-production on Mile 22. He both starred in and served as co-fight choreographer for the film.
