Orange Is the New Black Season 6 is on the way! In a fit of Jenji Kohan-induced euphoria, Netflix picked up Orange Is the New Black season 6 AND season 7.
That means we’ll be getting at least two more seasons of the show and maybe even more than that. What will those seasons look like? Well, for starters there will probably be plenty of cliffhangers. This is a show that really loves cliffhangers.
Orange Is the New Black Season 6 followed the lead of the excellent debut season by introducing a massive, life-threatening cliffhanger in season five. It’s a fair expectation for that to be resolved in season six.
Creator Jenji Kohan revealed to DigitalSpy that only two of season five’s writers were rehired for season six, saying she was a bit disappointed by season five’s end result.

Unless Orange Is the New Black is doing something wildly experimental and weird, you can probably expect their return. Other inmates like Flaca (Jackie Cruz), Maritza (Diane Guerrero), Morello (Yael Stone), and Daya (Dascha Polanco) are likely to return but no official word yet. Orange Is the New Black has a massive recurring cast, and actors largely make appearances based on availability.
