Netflix will put a mystical twist on the idea of organ donation in its new supernatural series, Chambers, which has been ordered to series with ten episodes in the works. The show will center around one woman’s obsession with the heart donor that saved her life, both in the mysterious circumstances of her death and the increasing number of character traits of the donor that begin creeping into her own personality.
Akela Cooper of Marvel’s Luke Cage will act as showrunner and Stephen Gaghan will executive produce Chambers, a story created by actor/writer Leah Rachel (Dating Rules from My Future Self), who has several television projects in development at Sony and HBO. Cooper’s other genre credits include The 100, American Horror Story, Grimm, and V.
Rachel developed Chambers with Super Deluxe in LA, which produces many of Gaghan’s more edgy comedies.
